About me
Cynthia M. Vejar, Ph.D., LPC, LSC/PPS, NCC, is an Associate Professor and Founding Director of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Trauma-Informed Counseling programs at Lebanon Valley College. With 30 years of experience in the field, including higher education and clinical work, her work emphasizes the integration of theory, research, and clinical practice. Her scholarship and presentations focus on grief and bereavement, self-care and burnout, and emerging approaches such as Script Therapy, with an emphasis on fostering empathy and clinician well-being. She is also co-owner of a private counseling practice, where she helps clients navigate a range of concerns, including grief, infertility, relationship challenges, and self-care.
