Teree Lipscomb is a graduate student in the Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Schools and Communities program at Pennsylvania State University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Rehabilitation and Human Services from Penn State. Her academic foundation is complemented by professional experience working within juvenile and adult correctional systems, where she developed a deep commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care for individuals and families navigating systemic inequities.Teree currently serves as a Graduate Assistant on the Pennsylvania Expanded HIV Testing Initiative (PEHTI) under the direction of Dr. Liza Conyers, a state-funded initiative in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Department of Health focused on expanding access to HIV testing and reducing health disparities among underserved populations. Her professional interests center on the intersection of trauma, systems involvement, and community-based mental health, with a particular focus on schools and the young people who move through them. Teree is drawn to counseling work that meets people within the full complexity of their circumstances and creates space for healing, resilience, and growth.
