About me
Rachel Gerrity is a trauma-informed outpatient therapist at The Counseling Collective in East Petersburg, Pennsylvania. She earned her master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Alvernia University and is currently working towards full licensure. Rachel is also a National Certified Counselor. Her clinical work is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and respect for each client’s lived experience. She specializes in gender-affirming care for LGBTQIA+ individuals and frequently works with clients navigating complex trauma, identity exploration, body image and/or disordered eating, and relational trauma. Rachel has a particular interest in addressing weight stigma and supporting clients in developing more compassionate relationships with their bodies. Rachel is trained in TF-CBT, Gottman Method, and is in the midst of EMDR training. She primarily sees individuals and couples, but has also co-led a 12-week DBT group as well as other short term groups for parents of LGBTQIA+ youth.
