About me
Patrice A. Bryan (she/they) is a child/family counselor and doctoral candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Duquesne University. Their work as a clinician and future counselor educator is informed by systemic frameworks, seeking to amplify marginalized narratives to inform more just and affirming clinical practice. In their past clinical work, Patrice supported parents and families involved with the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. Their research interests include the experiences of parents with intellectual and developmental disabilities, counseling Black college women, and integrating feminist theory into counselor advocacy praxis. Patrice is a 2025-2026 PCA Emerging Leader and currently serves as the Graduate Student Representative-Elect for NARACES.
