Dr. Michael Sickels is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Counselor Education at Duquesne University, located in Pittsburgh, PA. Michael teaches a variety of coursework to master’s- and doctoral-level counselor education students. Michael also currently serves as the program’s Clinical Facilitator, overseeing students’ fieldwork progress across the areas of counseling, teaching, and supervision. Michael’s research interests include distance counseling, counselor empathic response, and effective practices in counselor education and supervision.
