Maria is a doctoral student in the Counselor Education program at Pennsylvania State University. She earned her master's degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from Penn State in 2023. Her research focuses on global mental health, including mental health literacy, stigma, people with disabilities, and family support for individuals with severe mental illness. Maria is particularly interested in program development, policy, and expanding access to culturally responsive mental health services.
