About me
Katharine Byrd serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of the Pennsylvania Counseling Association. She is a recent Ph.D. graduate in Counselor Education and Supervision whose work centers on counselor development, professional dispositions, and clinical training. She also Kate is a practicing counselor with a relational-psychodynamic orientation, integrating attachment-based and emotion-focused approaches in her work with clients. In addition to her clinical practice, she has experience as an adjunct faculty member, teaching and mentoring graduate-level counseling students. Her scholarly interests include counselor identity development, gatekeeping, and the evaluation of professional dispositions in counselor education.
