Dr. Holly Branthoover (she/her) is a Professor and Doctoral Coordinator in the Department of Counseling and Human Development at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) and a private counseling practice owner. She completed her Ed.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Duquesne University, where crisis intervention and prevention was her cognate focus. Dr. Branthoover earned her MS.Ed. in Community Counseling and K-12 School Counseling Certificate at Duquesne University and her bachelor's degree in Criminology at IUP. She has clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced trauma. Dr. Branthoover is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and a Nationally Certified Counselor. She has engaged in professional service with the Association for Counselor Education & Supervision (ACES), American Counseling Association (ACA), North Atlantic Region Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (NARACES), and Pennsylvania Counseling Association (PCA), where she twice received the PCA President’s Award for Service. Dr. Branthoover is the currently the editor for the Journal of the Pennsylvania Counseling Association (JPCA).
