About me
Dr. Erica Rhoads is an assistant professor, adoptive mother, and licensed professional counselor who focuses on the impact of trauma within a systems perspective. Dr. Rhoads teaches students in graduate mental health counseling and is passionate about educating people on the impact of trauma and helping individuals with trauma through her private practice, Rhythms of Grace Christian Counseling LLC. She provides trauma-informed counseling with various modalities. She is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and a member of several professional counseling organizations. Dr. Rhoads has presented locally and at national conferences on various topics, including trauma, adoption, attachment, and neuroscience in counseling. She recently co-wrote a chapter on dissociative disorders in Psychopathology: A Professional Counseling Perspective. She resides in central Pennsylvania with her husband.
