About me
Ellen Gong is a doctoral student in Counselor Education and Supervision whose research centers on multicultural competence, equity in counselor training, and the lived experiences of BIPOC counseling students. Her scholarship explores how racial microaggressions manifest within counselor education program trainings and how these experiences shape professional identity development, wellness, and perceptions of institutional support. Drawing on qualitative methodologies, her work aims to illuminate systemic dynamics within training environments and contribute to more culturally responsive and socially just counselor education practices.
