About me
Ella Durst is a graduate student in Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s (IUP) Counselor Education and Supervision PhD Program. She graduated with their master’s in clinical mental health counseling from IUP and formerly served as the president for their local CSI chapter, Iota Upsilon Pi, and has held multiple graduate assistant positions. Ella has independently conducted research titled Current Perspectives of Emerging Adults from Rural Areas on Mental Health and Telehealth Services After Peak Covid-19 in the US. The presenter has also spoken at multiple conferences, presenting on the topics Best Practices and Considerations to Increase Engagement for your CSI Chapter, The Implications of Community Stigma on Suicide Prevention and Support, and Recognizing and Reframing Generational Differences Towards Mental Health Through Narrative Therapy. Ella currently works as a counselor and holds professional interests in group and family mental health practices, gender issues, trauma, and expanding mental health services in rural areas.
