About me
Dani Moss, DAT, ATR-BC, LPC, NCC, ATCS (she/her), is a board-certified art therapist and art therapy supervisor, and licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania. An associate professor of art therapy and program director at Seton Hill University, she teaches and supervises graduate students while drawing on diverse clinical experience across residential treatment, private practice, community health, and arts organizations. Her framework integrates systems, psychodynamic, humanistic, and cognitive behavioral approaches, with a focus on children, families, and community wellness. Dani’s work is grounded in advocacy for creative expression, multiple ways of knowing, and anti-oppressive practice, shaped by her ongoing personal and professional commitments to growth, trauma-informed care, and decolonizing approaches. She holds a doctorate in art therapy from Mount Mary University, where her research explored professional identity development through phenomenological and arts-based methods, and she brings her roles as therapist, educator, parent, community member, and artist into her teaching, clinical work, and scholarship.
