About me
Ford has been a faculty member in the Department of Counselor Education at Shippensburg University since 1997. Prior to his tenure at Shippensburg University, he was an addiction counselor in Richmond, Virginia for thirteen years and taught adjunct for seven years in the Department of Rehabilitation Counseling at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia and was a site supervisor for all of those years. His clinical areas of interest include supervision, group counseling, relapse prevention, surrender, spirituality and co-occurring disorders. Over the past 41 years Ford has presented regionally, nationally, and internationally. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia and Pennsylvania, a Nationally Board Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Pennsylvania.
