About me
Bethany Goshorn graduated from Shippensburg University with her Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in May of 2020. Prior to this, she received her Bachelor's degree from Shippensburg University in 2009 in Psychology with a minor in Gerontology. Bethany is a national board certified counselor and she is licensed as a professional counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. Bethany has experience working with adolescents, in a college setting, and at a variety of locations working with adults. Her interests include (but are not limited to) working with individuals through issues of grief and loss, depression, anxiety, stress management, trauma, faith/spirituality, etc. She has focused additional training on working with the older population (ages 60 above) as this is a special interest of hers. Bethany is trained in EMDR and became an EMDRIA certified therapist as of January 2026. She values each client’s experience of counseling and strives to create a safe and supportive therapeutic environment from which clients can achieve their goals.
