About me
My name is Amber Conner, and I was born and raised in New Jersey. In order to fully pursue my dreams, as a counselor and counselor educator-in-training, I decided to move out of state, and attend one of the best universities. With that said, I am a first-year doctoral student studying Counselor Education and Supervision (CES) at a CACREP-accredited program. I am also a graduate assistant, co-facilitator, and admissions ambassador for the third consecutive year at the same university. Most importantly, I have experience working as a research assistant for a Criminal Justice professor, conducting IRB-approved research studies, and presenting with peers and faculty. My primary research interests include: Student Athletes, Academia Motivation Declines, Social Justice Advocacy, Movement Therapy, PTSD, and Intimate Partner Violence.
