Honoring Voice and Choice: Ethical Counseling with Neurodivergent Clients (1.5 CE)

How do counselors balance supporting clients’ authentic selves while helping them navigate a neurotypical world? This interactive session explores that tension through the lens of the ACA Code of Ethics, offering practical strategies for real-world dilemmas involving autonomy, consent, and advocacy. Participants will also gain insight into PA Act 61 of 2023 and its impact on guardianship and decision-making. Grounded in neurodiversity-affirming, culturally responsive care, this workshop equips counselors to ethically support neurodivergent individuals through change and transition.
