This workshop introduces participants to the polyvagal framework as a practical approach for understanding how the nervous system responds to stress, uncertainty, and shifting environments. Grounded in neuroscience and applicable to the counseling profession, the polyvagal perspective offers tools to support emotional regulation, resilience, and connection. Participants will explore how physiological states influence behavior, decision-making, and interpersonal engagement. Through guided discussion and experiential exercises, participants will practice polyvagal-informed techniques designed to help regulate the nervous system and promote a sense of safety and connection which can enhance resilience, improve relational engagement, and support sustained well-being in demanding and rapidly evolving settings.
