Enhancing Self-Efficacy Among Substance Use Disorder Counselors in Times of Change (1 CE)

This session addresses urgent behavioral health workforce challenges with specific emphasis on substance use disorder (SUD) counselor self-efficacy in bolstering a resilient and competent workforce. By strengthening SUD counselor self-efficacy, Pennsylvania will be well positioned to retain skilled clinicians, improve service delivery, and navigate ongoing transitions in behavioral health care. Drawing on current workforce trends and evidence-informed practices, the session will highlight strategies to strengthen SUD counselor competence, confidence, and leadership capacity.
