58th Annual PCA Conference
Saturday November 7, 2026 2:00pm - 2:30pm EST
College students face growing amounts of stress, anxiety, and overwhelm, especially at times when they are transitioning. In this session, you will learn accessible, applicable mindfulness skills that higher education professionals can use while working directly with their students. The presenter has worked with first-year college students teaching mindfulness practices and will share with participants some of those same exercises (e.g., body scan, using your senses to ground yourself, cultivating self-compassion, practicing gratitude). By the end of the session, participants should have useful resources to help support the overall health and wellness of their students and create a more mindful atmosphere within their campus community.
