Culturally Responsive Supervision: Theory and Application in a Changing World

This interactive session will explore the competencies and practices that define culturally responsive supervision in today’s evolving professional and clinical contexts. Grounded in Anci and Ladany’s (2010) Multicultural Framework for Counselor Supervision, we will examine key theoretical principles and consider their application through a practical vignette designed to foster discussion and reflection. Participants will engage in group dialogue to identify strategies for enhancing cultural knowledge, awareness, addressing power dynamics, and promoting equity within supervisory relationships. Attendees will leave with concrete, actionable tools to integrate culturally responsive approaches into their own supervisory practice.
