This presentation examines how a history of childhood sexual abuse (CSA) can be linked to the manifestation of obsessive-compulsive symptoms in adulthood. It explores how trauma-related themes, such as control, responsibility, contamination, and safety, can shape and cause obsessions and compulsions. Emphasis is placed on understanding OCD symptoms as responses to earlier experiences linked to trauma, with implications for further trauma-informed care and research.
