From Trainee to Clinician to Educator: A Shared Reflection on Navigating War, Grief, and Growth in Times of Crisis (1 CE)

This co-facilitated roundtable explores how clinicians and educators are shaped by personal, community, and global crises. Through reflections on war, suicide loss, pandemic-era training, and workplace grief, participants will engage in dialogue about professional identity, meaning-making, and growth in the helping professions. We will share lived experiences across multiple levels of crisis: personal milestones such as childbirth and graduation; community losses including the deaths of a coworker and a student; and global upheavals such as the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing international conflicts. Participants will be invited into a reflective dialogue about how such moments of rupture can become sites of resilience, redefinition, and growth. This roundtable aims to create space for shared storytelling and critical reflection on what it means to train, practice, and teach in a profession that is continually shaped by crisis and change.
