Though sexuality applies to everyone is some capacity, it is often not covered well enough throughout graduate training. Most master’s level clinicians operate with one elective in Human Sexuality and all additional training is up to the individual to engage with on their own time. Therefore, counselors may feel uncomfortable or unqualified to discuss sex and sexuality with their clients. This session will talk about sex positivity and will provide practical clinical intake questions and assessments to help mental health professionals better prepare to talk about issues related to sexuality in session.
