This 60-minute roundtable session invites participants into an open, thoughtful discussion on providing culturally relevant counseling for Asian American and Asian adoptee clients. Together, we will explore challenging and often unspoken questions around culture, identity, stigma, family dynamics, and the therapeutic relationship. Attendees will be encouraged to reflect on their own assumptions, share experiences, and engage in honest dialogue about what it means to practice therapy in a culturally responsive and meaningful way. This interactive format centers curiosity, humility, and connection, creating space to learn from one another while deepening our ability to support Asian American and Asian adoptee clients with greater awareness and authenticity.
